Welcome to Legends Tech (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By submitting a device for repair through our online store, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions, which constitute a legally binding agreement governing our diagnostic and repair services.

1. Estimates, Authorizations, and Florida Law Compliance

In compliance with Florida consumer protection guidelines for electronic equipment repair:

Approval of Charges: You are entitled to an estimate of repair costs. We will not exceed our approved written or digital estimate by more than 10% without obtaining your express verbal or written authorization.

Diagnostic Fees: If a diagnostic fee is required to assess your device, this fee will be clearly disclosed to you upfront before you ship or submit your device.

2. Risk of Data Loss & Customer Responsibility

Electronic repairs, particularly component-level board work and logic board soldering, carry an inherent risk of data loss.

Back Up Your Data: You acknowledge and agree that it is your sole responsibility to back up all data, software, and files on your device before sending it to us.

No Liability for Data: Legends Tech assumes absolutely no liability for lost, corrupted, or compromised data, software, or media left on any device during the diagnostic or repair process.

3. Shipping, Handling, and In-Transit Risk

Because we operate primarily as an online store servicing Miami and the broader region via shipping or courier:

Inbound Shipping: The Customer is responsible for safely packaging and shipping the device to us. We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We are not responsible for devices damaged or lost in transit to our facility.

Outbound Shipping: Return shipping will be handled according to the option selected at checkout. If a device is damaged during return transit, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery so we can assist with a carrier insurance claim.

4. Pre-Existing Conditions & Liquid Damage Disclaimer

Many devices sent for advanced repair (such as micro-soldering or data recovery) possess severe pre-existing damage.

Hidden Defects: Opening or working on devices with physical or liquid damage can reveal hidden defects that cause the device to fail completely or exhibit new symptoms.

Permanent Failure Risk: You acknowledge that a device already suffering from power failure or severe motherboard damage may become completely unrepairable during the diagnostic process. You agree that Legends Tech is not liable if a severely compromised device degrades further during a good-faith attempt at repair.

5. Unclaimed Property (Florida Statutory Compliance)

In accordance with Florida guidelines regarding the disposition of unclaimed electronic equipment:

Abandonment Window: If you do not claim your equipment, fail to respond to our communications, or fail to pay an open invoice within 120 days from the date the device was received or repaired, the device will be deemed legally abandoned.

Right to Dispose/Sell: We reserve the right to sell or dispose of abandoned equipment to recover outstanding repair costs and storage fees, provided we issue a final notice to you via mail or email fifteen (15) days prior to the sale.

6. Warranty and Limitations of Liability

Repair Warranty: We offer a 90-Day limited warranty on our specific labor and the parts replaced. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship directly related to the authorized repair. It strictly excludes subsequent accidental drops, physical impacts, or liquid exposure.

Limitation of Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by Florida law, Legends Tech’s total liability for any claim arising out of a repair shall never exceed the wholesale value of the physical bare device or the amount paid by the Customer for the specific service, whichever is less. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any legal actions or disputes arising out of these terms shall be filed exclusively in the courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
